The pre-term delivery caused by stress during the first trimester

It is shown that the risk of delivering baby in pre-term was found higher in women who lived near to the quake site during their second and third month of pregnancy.

In the normal circumstance, only six or less women out of a hundred who have pre-term birth, but after they were exposed to the quake, the percentage is increase by 3.4 percent or more than nine women put of a hundred who have pre-term delivery. Based on the result, the researchers from the United States claimed that the stress during the first trimester can also be the implications of bad housing, independent poverty, poor diet, or any other stressful situations that may cause stress. To prevent this, you need to improve access to healthcare.
